Yesterday I held a 'Basic Embroidery Tecchniques' workshop, it was really relaxing just to sit and sew. In the past when I have taught this I have used a 'sampler' approach, but this time we stitched a Little Bo Peep motif using a range of stitches, stem, chain, lazy daisy, french knots, back stitch and satin stitch. The group must have enjoyed it as they requested a follow up class to learn some more stitches, so I shall get cracking on that one for the summer term - watch this space.
